A little tip worth sharing: Villa del Mar Nerja

On the outskirts of Nerja, on the road towards Maro, there’s a place many people don’t even realize they can visit: Villa del Mar.
It’s located inside a campsite, but the good part is simple. You don’t have to stay there to enjoy it.
Why go?
They have a heated swimming pool, which makes it a great option when the sea and most pools still feel too cold. It’s one of those easy, relaxed spots where you might plan a short visit and end up staying all day.
Next to the pool there’s a restaurant and bar area, so you can order for example drinks, tapas and lunch without going anywhere else. The atmosphere is laid-back and social, nothing too polished, just easy to enjoy.
Open to everyone
Even though it’s part of a camping area, anyone can come in for the pool or the restaurant. It’s a nice alternative if you feel like a break from the beach.

More than just a pool day
There’s quite a lot happening here during the week. They often have live music, which brings a really nice atmosphere in the evenings.

You can also organise your own events here, from birthdays to more casual gatherings.
Good to know
They open every day at 10:00. During spring, including May, they are open until 21:00, and as the season goes on the closing time gets later. It works just as well for a morning swim as for a long afternoon that turns into dinner and music.
One of those places that’s not a secret, but still somehow feels like one.
